A genus of terrestrial or sometimes epiphytic orchids with bottle-brush type heads of flowers comprised of hundreds of small blooms. They are found mainly in South and Central America, but Jamaica also has a species of its own called, not unsurprisingly, Arpophyllum jamaicense. |
