The old saying, "ask ten gardeners how they grow
a plant and you'll get ten different answers",
holds as true for orchids as for other plants. There
is more information available to orchid enthusiasts
today than ever before. The problem we find when
we

look for cultural information for our own new
purchases, is that much of it is either too technical,
so not easy to follow, or too limited to be of any
use.
The aim of this website is to provide enough
cultural guidance to be useful, without over-complicating
things, but it is a mammoth task and we can't do
it alone.
We grow orchids as enthusiastic amateurs,
definitely not as experts. With some we have great
success, with others we don't, and with most within this
huge family of plants we are complete beginners.

We would like to invite you to share your valuable
knowledge with others. You can provide cultural
and background information and photos for the orchids
you grow using the Add Your
Orchid link above. It really is easy to do,
and if you don't have background information or
photos, just provide what you do have and maybe
someone else will fill in the blanks.
Please, come and join us in this project. Make this
site yours as well as ours, because between us we
can turn it into a fabulous and indispensable resource
for orchid enthusiasts everywhere. |
